I've put together some "description" topics for the D-F Essay. If anyone
wants to add to the list, I'll try to collate them.
Description Composition Topics
1. Who has been the "guiding light" in your life? Write a composition
explaining how this person has influenced you.
2. Describe a film you have recently seen.
3. You have just been on a trip. Describe your vacation/voyage.
4. Describe 2-3 of the most important qualities in a friend.
5. Describe the invention which you think has had the most influence on the
modern world.
6. If you were to inherit an enormous sum of money, what would you do with
it?
7. Describe your favorite sport.
8. Describe 2-3 of the most annoying traits a person could have.
9. Describe the benefits and disadvantages of the internet.
10. Explain the dangers of drug abuse.
11. Describe your home town or your favorite town or city.
12. Describe the most wonderful or the worst day of your life.
