Subject: Marking the Matkonot (pre-Tests)

Like many other teachers who prepare the Eleventh and Twelfth Graders for
the Bagrut exams, I do NOT mark exams afterwards. When grading their
compositions or full answers I base the number of points they earn according
to the instructions and training we received while doing the NBA course (I
attended the first session in Petach Tikvah). Since then, however, there
have been changes which we were not made aware of and I only know because
two colleagues of mine DO mark exams. Shouldn't there be an official
document with the method of assessing answers so that we do the best job
possible in preparing our pupils?
In addition, we have been writing back and forth about the proper structure
of formal letters (how many of you send out formal letters these days? I
have pupils who do not even know how to write out an envelope!). Shouldn't
there be an official site for this kind of instruction?
Sorry if these points have been made before. I do follow the mail as much as
possible but I may have overlooked this topic.
