Subject: Native Speakers' Programs Countrywide

Dear All,

I have another set of questions. Does this mean that the programs are being canceled throughout the country or only in the Hod Hasharon area? I also have no idea whom to speak to. I teach Native Speakers in the junior high of the high school, Maccabim-Reut. The principal knows nothing about this. The English coordinator knows nothing about this. Where oh where is Raquelle Arzan when we need her? I definitely believe that my status as a teacher of Native Speakers has suffered since she left the ministry.

Ministry people, who is responsible for us gray-area teachers of English who work hard, spend lots of hours correcting students' papers, teaching different writing styles, appreciation for different forms of literature, classic to contemporary, and appreciation of poetry, not to mention, grammar tenses, spelling and good ole' reading, and 'riting?

I believe we serve an important niche. How can we be abandoned?

Esther Behar
