We have an unexpected opening for a teacher at the high school
level. Our school is called a second-tier school, that is, we receive
students after they have not been able to manage at 'regular'
schools for whatever reason--academic but not only, other
obligations, other background. etc.
Teaching is towards Bagrut with the knowledge that many kids
are there for their Twelve-Year Attendance Certificate-and
we try to convince them that, as they are present anyway,
they may as well get credit for it.
Workdays will be Mondays and Wednesdays this year, full teaching days.
This school is in the process of changing from 'Externi' to
'Interni' in terms of requirements for Bagrut exams in general'; re:
English it is regarded as 'Interni' ) projects, performance tasks, Oral
Bagrut and the like).
Payment is through the educational network of this high school,
which also has several junior colleges associated with it.
Seniority is through the Education Ministry, as is supervision.
