Subject: Thoreau Summer program at Concord MA

Do you have a student who would like to spend seven days this summer exploring the ideas and places that inspired Henry David Thoreau? This eight day program is designed for students to learn and discuss how enduring and relevant Thoreau's greatest ideas are today.

From July 21st to the 28th students will enjoy the comfort and support of this homestay program at historic Concord, Massachusetts. Mornings students will gather at various indoor and outdoor locations to explore Thoreau's notion of "living deliberately" and how it may be applied to the challenges of life in the 21st century. Afternoons and two evenings will be spent seeing Walden Pond, Cambridge and Harvard University, Beacon Hill and and other spots that help to identify Greater Boston as a center for ideas, music, art, and discovery.

Applications are being accepted now. For more information and applications, please contact program director John Chateauneuf at jchat@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx See our website: www.thoreausociety.org for a more complete program description.
