Dear ETnier:
Like, Mitzi, I too checked Bagruyot the year that kids were
asked to express their opinion about teaching general subjects in English.
One student, obviously from the Arab sector wrote,
"When Americans start learning Math and History in Arabic,
I'll be ready to learn general subjects in English".
I think that that succinct comment says it all.
Why put students who are weak in English at a disadvantage
in their other subjects?
