I'll tell you (if this message even makes it to ETNI - lately I am not so
sure) what's happening to you. You have been put in an immoral situation
where, no matter what you do, you feel bad. You break the sanctions and you
feel like a scab. You don't break the sanctions - and you feel you are
betraying your pupils.

Everyone goes on strike. Ports go on strike, Israel loses millions,
companies go bust 'cause they cannot supply their products to their
customers - and... Nothing happens. No-one breaks the sanctions (unless they
are crazy: who wants to deal with the thugs sent by the union?!). Once the
dockers get what they want, after holding the government by the "soft spot"
for a couple weeks, they go back to work.

Doctors go on strike. Hospitals switch to state of emergency, patients that
[allegedly] can wait are sent home - and... Nothing.

Why can't you guys do the same? Can't you understand that no matter what you
do you can't win as long as you don't regain your dignity and respect? And
no-one is going to respect a professional group that is paid meager salaries
and are treated like dirt. First get respected and properly paid. Then go
back to teaching, testing, literature, projects and everything. No-one's
going to die like in a hospital strike; the country will not lose a penny
because the ports will still be open; and those of your pupils who have
invested enough efforts in their studies will get good enough grades to
carry on.

Or just quit. This is more honest than having to deal with this immoral
situation.

Compassionately -

Lev (who quit and is happy).
