i went home for lunch in the states, in elementary school. (btw - the jr. 
high and high schools did NOT have a lunch break.) we had school from 8:15 - 
11:35, and from 13:00 - 15:00.

BUT - most mothers didn't work then, at least in our town. who will be at 
home here to fed the kids lunch?

i think this suggestion is not relevent for Israel today.
