I read the whole thing.. it stank.It was all lovely on paper but would never
have been implemented properly cos in order to do that you had to have a lot
of money poured into the system and we all know that the government was not
prepared to spend any money on us.
For example, we were supposed to sit and have parent- teacher conferences
and one-on-one with kids but no provision was made for where we would do it.
We were supposed to prepare at school but nobody was going to give us a
room, let alone a computer with internet etc in order to do that.Kids were
supposed to stay at school extra hours, with no hot meals ,places to rest,
change clothes etc.
As I remember there were schools where they started to implement and
teachers complained that kids were eating in the classrooms, with food trays
balanced on their knees, and teachers were meant to clear up after them.The
kids were then meant to carry on studying in those rooms amongst all the
leftovers and food smells...
