Thank you all for replying to this post. Now I have to explain to an intelligent Hebrew speaker when is something a noun used as an adjective and when it is an adjective used as a noun. For example, great is used both an adjective 'It was great fun' and a noun "Bob Hope is considered a comedic great'.

Personally Joe Barnett has hit the nail right on the head. English is a flexible language and fun as a noun/adjective is in transition. For now I will say very fun is wrong because it sounds wrong (the Native English Speakers cop-out).

In this spirit I wish you all the very best of a fun week.

David
