I usually vote in the ETNI poll, but feel it would be hypocritical this time. I wasn't teaching 20 years ago, and although I had already moved to Israel I had nothing to do with anything connected to the level of English here. I'm sure that I'm not alone here, many of us are not graduates of the Israeli school system (judging by the many 'foreign' names which appear on ETNI ). Graduates of the system may have a difference perspective on the standards when they were at school than their teachers.

The idea of the poll is good, but I personally will only be interested in the opinions of those teachers with 20+ years experience (and they deserve a medal for bravery!). Maybe the question can be rephrased?
