Here are a few ideas for lessons related to the war.

I found an interesting site containing war letters, written home from the different American battle fronts in American history. I think our pupils could relate to many of them. There's also a Teachers Guide on the site.

I'd also like to bring to your attention a local war blog about our own recent events, written by American born, Bracha Ben Ami. She presently lives on Moshav Ben Ami in the W. Galilee. Bracha is a translator, technical writer and Irish musician. Her blog also includes original cartoons expressing her feelings from her semi-secure room where she weathered out the war. She's been interviewed by the NY Times and read from her blog on Israel English radio.

Needless to say, there are many songoption, especially protest songs. I'm workng on that now.
