WOMEN EDUCATORS BUILD BRIDGES
The Ministry of Education in conjunction with Matach and the U.S.
Embassy are glad to invite JH and HS English teachers to take part in
a unique and innovative accredited (gmul) 60- hour Training Course:
"Women Educators Build Bridges for Peace and shared life education".

This training course is the result of a fruitful partnership between
Dr Judy Steiner, Chief Inspector for English Language Education,the
Northern region inspectors Omaima Kaldawy , Yaacova Weiss , Yousef
Dagash and the Shared Life Education team at the Center for
Educational technology.

The participants will be exposed to topics such as; the role of women
in conflict mitigation, peace building, gender mainstreaming, feminist
literature, women leaders and women peace activists as role models and
educators for peace . Participants will also benefit from online
materials and a rich educational environment that will help them
integrate the above topics in their teaching.
At the heart of the program is the facilitated dialogue between Arab
and Jewish women educators focusing on finding ways to minimize
racism, prejudices and provide a space where they can exchange
experiences, approaches and share skills and tools. We expect the
participants to play an active role in implementing the skills and
knowledge they have acquired in their classes.
Target population: Arab, Druze, Bedouin and Jewish Female English
Teachers in junior high and high schools in the northern region

Course Description:
The Course includes 8 Face to Face sessions, 5 online sessions, a
Study Tour and a two- day seminar including one night sleep over in
Nes Amim
Location and Starting Date:
One course will be held at Pisga Nazareth Elite – phone no.
04-6461717. The opening session will be on Wednesday, November 27th,
2013 at 16:30.
The second course will be held at Pisga Majd El –Kroom – phone no. 04-9582381.
The opening session will be on Tuesday, November 26th, 2013, at 16:30.
