---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Esther Revivo <estherrv@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Shabbaton funds.... again I overcame my aversion to reading Ivrit (as I speed read in Eng. and limp along in Hebrew,) and I went to this link: http://www.kranoth.org.il/kmorim/site/kmorim.asp?pi=1647 Folks, it seems that the Bein leumi Anat and Ana were right; unless your money has been sitting there for six years, you CANNOT remove it before the due date to another bank. We'll just have to collectively pray the folks responsible for our Shabbaton finances will err on the side of caution. But, (if as I did 13 yrs. ago,) you HAVE the 6 years accumulated, and wish to accrue even more money before opening your keren, then you would be wise to move it to Yahav or elsewhere if like me you have a distaste for the stock market. For, other banks allow you the choice of which kind of keren you wish-'solidi' with a set percentage of annual gains or a less cautious keren that may allow you to earn a higher return but then again, you may lose out. BTW, I got an e-mail that an agreement has been signed between the Irgun and MOE. Was this during intermission when I got up to get my popcorn? Can someone confirm this? What about more hours for implementing the HOTS? What about the discrepancy between schools in checking Logs? Are there pilots for 4 pointers going on? Can I choose not just now but after 3 years to teach 'cause and effect' without calling it a HOTS? As I have blown my morning trying to figure this keren Shabbaton issue out for the good of all concerned and not just myself, I hope some kind soul will fill me in without sending me an e-mail that I would be a good girl to go to the official Eng. website and read official info. there. Frankly, I've had enough of the Internet; phones and faxes today to last me a while! I hope that those who e-mailed me find this cleared the Keren Shabbaton issue up. Oh, the Yahav supervisor never called me in the end which in itself says the above information is true. Life ain't fair.
