Regarding plagiarism, copying and private teachers, if you have your
students do the work in class, then you can avoid all of these
problems. This is not only true of the log -- every composition, book
report and project that my students do is done in class, not at home.
I have worked like this for years. Class time does not have to be used
only for frontal teaching and drilling -- writing assignments are part
of the learning process and not meant exclusively for assessment.
