I honestly don't know where Ha Aretz gets its information or how the writers develop their opinions. I am still fuming about the HaAretz article in which the writer PRAISED the idea of giving kids extra help by conducting smaller classes in school hallways. I teach in a fabulous school with no extra rooms at all - sometimes there aren't even enough regular classrooms- . Still I wouldn't be able to teach in corridors...even without kids and staff walking there, distracting weak and ADD students, the noise from the schoolyard where sports classes are held creates its own disturbances...but I digress. I feel that this particular teacher, example given in the article, is either a "rarity" or was misunderstood while giving instructions. I know that most of my colleagues have a class discussion on plagiarism before giving project assignments and that students whose work is "copied and pasted" must redo it or receive "zero." jesg
