Subject: Re: cell phones in class

My 10th graders and I came to an agreement last year that they drop
their phones on my desk on the way into the class and pick them up on
the way out. Since I myself don't own a smart phone , just an antique
that does very little, I don't see myself doing very much with
cellphones. However, I know that whenever I need internet for my
laptop in class, there are at least 5 students jumping to connect me
throug their smartphones.
By the way, this is Maalot and these kids aren't exactly swimming in
money..... (sigh)
