I agree with whoever recently said that teachers who choose the exam
over the log are at risk of lowering the students' overall BAgrut
final grade.

Whatever happened to the notion that  "if most of the grades are low
then the problem is with the exam."   I've heard tell (no, not a
rumor!!)  that the teachers are being blamed because we're not
teaching accordint to the rubics the markers are using. What the
__________ does that mean? AS far as I remember there weren't any
rubics even written (Winter Exam) until after the "tidruk" which took
place following the exam.

Why does the expression " being railroaded" (toward the log)  come to mind??

Is this what English  has become? ..My students used to love the
literature our staff taught anad the creative atmosphere in which it
was taught.  Now it's become a chore based on mostly uninspiring
pieces. (And frankly, dear, I don't think a whole staff became
"uninspiring" in the space of a year! )
