Hi:
I have discovered a remarkable site for the translation of many languages
(unfortunately not including Hebrew). The URL is: babelfish.altavista.com
It automatically converts from and to English, two versions of Chinese; from
and to English: Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean,
Portuguese, Russian, Spanish. If this were not enough, it also translates from
Spanish to French.
To try it out, I copy and pasted the Internet life story of Herzl (in English)
and pasted it into the area for the text to be translated. I chose to translate
it into German, having studied German in high school in the distant past. It
took just two seconds to translate the whole story but I was not able to judge
just how good the translation was. If anyone is qualified and interested in
doing such a test, I would love to hear the results.
