[etni] Log versus exam

Well-said Sharon, Rivka, Judith, Avlynne and others! 
And I repeat my claim made earlier: we need a reduction in the number of pieces 
studied, both in the log and in the exam, in order to restore the balance 
between the study of literature and language - and to restore our sanity.

Just to add to the statistics that have been offered here by teachers of the 
log, the grades in my 5 point class followed a normal bell curve. The lowest 
grade was 37 and the highest (for a brilliant student who simply got 100s on 
practically everything) was 99.7, which got rounded to 100. It will be 
interesting to see how my 4 point class fares next year ...
