Hi Margie and All, First of all, drama is a great way to introduce most students to vocabulary. Since it sounds like you're working with a private student I suggest using monologues. Here's a good place to start: http://www.monologuearchive.com/  You'll also find a link there to 10-minute plays. You don't necessarily need a regular script to do drama. I've had student do dramatic reading of song lyrics, stories and letters. You can use something from a text book or have him write his own. The possibilities are endless. Good luck and have fun.
