Hi Margie and All,
First of all, drama is a great way to introduce most students to vocabulary.
Since it sounds like you're working with a private student I suggest using
monologues. Here's a good place to start: http://www.monologuearchive.com/
You'll also find a link there to 10-minute plays.
You don't necessarily need a regular script to do drama. I've had student do
dramatic reading of song lyrics, stories and letters. You can use something
from a text book or have him write his own. The possibilities are endless. Good
luck and have fun.
