In answering Arny's entry, I mentioned a document on the Ministry site and it seems that I was not clear enough. The document can be found under "Winter Bagrut Exams" * Rubric for assessing Oral Social Interaction Most everyone who knows me (including Arny) know that in my answer there was no "dusting off" so to speak. I answered Arny on ETNI as he wrote to ETNI and I as a fellow educator, teacher, colleague, and if you so wish INSPECTOR answered using the same media. I thank David for his learned advice as to how I could have gone about doing my business, I think that I have been long enough in this profession to know my way around. Had I wanted to adress the problem as AVI TSUR, yes I could (in David's words) "have written a separate email" expressing my position. Well I decided that this was how I wanted to relate to the problem, in an honest and open manner as I do in all my undertakings. I remain teacher friendly and at the same time know how to separate my friendliness with being professional. And last but not least - "the inspector made it known to one and all that a copy of his mail was being forwarded to Dr. Steiner, the Chief Inspector of English". Isn't this normal, natural practice. I answered as an Inspector and wanted to make it clear that my superior was in the picture. For me, this is what I would expect. Yours sincerely, Dr. Avi Tsur "subscriber to the ETNI mailing list for a number of years" and English Inspector for the Rural Sector ----------------------------------------------- ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org or - http://www.etni.org.il ** ** for help - ask@xxxxxxxx ** ** to post to this list - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** -----------------------------------------------
