This is addressed to the many people who, over the past few days, have sent us messages of thanks and congratulations. From the desk of Valerie S. Jakar, PhD. Re: ETAI 2010, Linking through Language. The International Conference in Jerusalem. On behalf of the Conference Committee which I had the privilege of chairing, I wish to convey our appreciation for the many messages of thanks and congratulation we have received - in person, on ETNI, and directly to the ETAI office and e-mail site. Some offered constructive feedback which, we assure you, will be taken into account by the Conference Committee when preparing the next conference. It is important to note that the congratulations are due to all the volunteers, as well as to the paid staff, who contributed to the success of the conference, over many months from way back in late 2009 until this very day when we are working on the post-conference tasks. During the conference, one of our guests remarked on the number of volunteers involved, and the spirit of cooperation that pervaded the atmosphere. Indeed this was so. We are all volunteers, working for the good of ETAI, and we are happy to acknowledge the enormous amount of work and effort put in by individuals. A national conference is scheduled for next year, but we hope to have international speakers join us, as well as our own special group of presenters from all parts of Israel and beyond. Next year in Jerusalem! Sincerely, VSJ -- Valerie.S.Jakar, PhD Jerusalem, Israel Mahatma Gandhi said, "I do not want my house to be walled in on all sides and my windows to be stuffed.
