Thanks Marlene for bringing up this most important point. Beginning
teachers don't earn hardly enough to attend this very important
conference. More over, we tend to have young children at home, as you
mentioned, and babysitting care is very costly. As a teacher that
attends every year, I know how useful it is. I hope some kind of
discount will be available for the newer teachers. Ori

At least, we should get something for transportation...
The other reason is of course young teachers/students often have young
school age kids on vacation. So maybe we need a day care facility/camp
at the conference?
