[etni] Re: To Irgun Members - regarding July 7th meeting.

Dear ETNI friends,
AS one of the 5 teachers who responded to Sara's message, I read with dismay
that if there are not enough teachers who say they are willing to stay an
extra hour or so after the conference, Sara will not bother to set up the
meeting.

People, where are you? How may letters have been posted on ETNI complaining
about the HOTS, about the NBA, about the extra work, etc.? How many letters
expressed the opinion that the Irgun sanctions were not the right ones, that
we (or the pupils) suffered more because of the sanctions, that something
else was needed? Well, this is our chance to do things properly, to speak
to the Irgun, to explain exactly what our problems are, to hear what they
suggest - please don't let this opportunity slip through our fingers. Come
out and say you'll be there, and that goes for those of you who read the
posts on ETNI, but don't usually write. We can't continue to moan and groan
and vent on ETNI and among ourselves, if we are not prepared to act when we
get the chance.

I apologize for using a slogan that's already become somewhat hackneyed -
If we want change, we must go out and work for it. YES, WE CAN!
