I encourage pupils to look up the lyrics on the internet and learn them properly. It's a great way to improve their English rather than destroy it. Here are several sites I use. You can search for a song using a few words even if you don't know the exact title: http://www.lyricsondemand.com/ http://www.lyricsfreak.com/ And after they've practiced for a while, let them try this: http://www.lyricstraining.com/index.php Kara Aharon Yerucham, Israel 08-6589425, 052-3903306 aharonmk@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.englishfun.net > > From: n r <pataliae@xxxxxxxxxxx> > Subject: [etni] Re: etni Digest V9 #148 > Date: Wed, 15 Jun 2011 21:19:57 +0000 > > > I get this all the time from kids who think they are 'big-shots' in > English and will start singing and you have to struggle to know what an > earth they are on about. Then you don't know whether to laugh or cry. > > >> ------------------------------ >> >> From: "Amy" <segalil@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> >> Subject: [etni] "Without you" in fake English >> Date: Fri, 3 Jun 2011 18:36:59 +0300 >> >> Anyone need some comic relief for end of the year stresses and demands? >> Take a break and listen to Mariah Carey's song, "Ken Lee" >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQt-h753jHI&feature=share >> If you had trouble following that, there's a "better English" version >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEbV5M59Xc8&feature=related > > > > > ------------------------------ > > End of etni Digest V9 #160 > ************************** > *************************************** > ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org > ** to post to this list - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > ** for help - ask@xxxxxxxx > *************************************** > >
