I think I'd be interested in seeing how many discrepancies each teacher had
between magen grades and bagrut grades (a "discrepancy" being defined as a
gap of more than 10 points). For example, on module F, I had 6 gaps of more
than 10 points out of 8 students (note that in one case, I gave 11 points
LOWER than what the student actually got on the exam -- he surprised me by
getting a 95!). On module G, I had 5 gaps of more than 10 points (again out
of 8 students).

Just for comparison, last year I sent two 11th graders to the 5-point exam
and both of them got grades within 5 points of my magen grade (in fact, I
think it was even less than 5 points). The year before, I sent 12 11th
graders to the 5-point exam and I don't think I had any discrepancies
between magen grades and bagrut grades. In general, my magen grades are
normally more or less on the mark (with the occasional exception -- there's
always one kid who surprises me by doing especially well or especially
poorly on the day of the exam). This year, some of the gaps are close to 30
points! It just doesn't make any sense to me that I predicted (based on a
year's worth of work and a matkonet exam) that a kid would get 90 and she
got 61.
