From: Rivka Lewenstein <rlewen@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: Summer Books and more As we near the summer vacation, it's time to think about summer books again. If you haven't ordered summer books for your students yet, now's the time to do so. For high school, we have the Summer Bagrut Practice series, which contain reading comprehension, vocabulary practice, and reading tips and strategies with follow-up practice (available with or without a student's answer key). For students who have difficulty with listening comprehension, All Ears 1, which includes 12 Module A listening comprehensions and has the answers at the back of the book, may also be a good solution. For junior high students, you may want to consider the Not Just Unseens series which contain reading comprehension, vocabulary practice, language reviews in Hebrew along with practice, guided writing, and more. Many teachers assign the first few units of Not Just Unseens as summer homework, and then continue with the book in class the next year. By the way, if you don't feel like collecting money from your students, you can just send them to the bookstores to buy any and all of these books - all our books are now distributed at bookshops across the country. (However, the Summer Bagrut Practice are only available at stores without an answer key.) You can see sample units of all these books online at www.aelpublications.com In addition, I'm pleased to inform you that Bagrut Plus for Modules E,F,&G was released a few weeks ago, and the feedback from teachers has been amazing. Feel free to take a look at the sample units available online. If you're a high school coordinator and have not yet received a free copy of the book, please contact me and I'll send you your book immediately. (If you're not a coordinator, you may want to pass on this message to your coordinator.) As with our other books, Bagrut Plus for EFG is available at bookshops across the country. Bagrut Plus for Modules A,B,&C has unfortunately run into a few delays, and will probably not be released before the end of July. If you need to make a decision about your book list before that, and are interested in seeing sample units of the book, please contact me and I'll e-mail you a few sample units. By the way, if you are a coordinator for junior high and are not yet on our coordinators list, please e-mail me with your name, address, and phone number, as well as the name of your school, its address, and the approximate number of students studying there. This way, we will be able to send you free copies of any books suitable for junior high as they are released. Wishing you a wonderful summer, Rivka A.E.L.
