Subject: teaching The Kite Runner?
After reading the best-selling novel, The Kite Runner,
I am considering teaching it to my (high level) Gr. 11
Native English Speakers Class. I feel this book is in the
class of "To Kill a Mockingbird," is rich in symbolisms,
literary techniques and delivers important messages.
I am concerned, though, that the content may be too
violent and disturbing for teenagers.
Does anyone who has read the book have an opinion
to share? Has anyone ever used the book in class?
Your opinions and advice would be appreciated.
