Dear all -

After several blows suffered lately (a hacker attack which was
coped with surprisingly well by using the backup files which did
exist, and a badly performed migration of the site from one server
to another - a fault of the hosting company hiring low-qualified
administrators) the ETNI Worksheet Center is running again.

Several updates.

1. In the past, several people expressed their dissatisfaction with
the fact that the system tracks user logins (the Big Brother Syndrome).
After certain hesitation, we've enabled guest access to the site
(you will now see the "Login as a Guest" button at the login
screen) which had been disabled in order to discourage "aunauthorized" access.

After all, these are not exam files; what harm can it do if a pupil
enters the site and downloads a few worksheets for training?!
Right. No harm, only good.

Consequently, those of you who have stayed away so as not to
get tracked can now use the guest login. Of course those who
believe in the system :) and prefer to log in under their name rather
than anonymously can continue doing so.

2. The site keeps growing, and there have been several
suggestions to add sections that would encompass worksheets
not directly related to a specific textbook but suitable in a number
of teaching situations, like "False-Starters," "Grammar Worksheets,"
"Vocabulary Worksheets," etc. I always invite those who suggest
a section to become its moderator (as no good deed should
remain unpunished). However, in this case, the colleagues who
suggested these sections have not been sufficiently cooperative
due to a number of personal constraints. Hence, I want to
"fill these positions" by inviting you to become moderators.
Any volunteers? The positions come with peer training and
support; you will learn new information technology skills
which might prove useful, etc.

3. Feel free to suggest other sections - but be prepared to
moderate them!

4. Due to the misfortunes described above, some (hopefully
insignificant) loss of resources might have occurred. If you
have contributed smth and cannot find it, please get in touch
with the moderator of the appropriate section.

Hoping to see you at the Worksheet Center soon -

Lev
