The matriculation exams have never been valid or reliable! How many times have we seen students getting 20+ points lower than their usual grades in the summer and then, around 6 weeks later, in Moed Bet, getting very high grades??? Perhaps, as I wrote to Sara, these students had studied day and night and improved significantly??? (ha ha ha).... What does that say about the exams? Another pet peeve, of which I have written on ETNI, is the ridiculous "magen" grade, but I won't get into that now..... The big question is, what is going to be done about it?
