Address info will never be reliable because actual street addresses are assigned either by the municipality or by USPS. GPS systems actually guess at an address by parsing a block into an equal numgber of fragments, and actually are making a kind of intelligent guess as to the address. This is why the solution of creating POI's is the best way to deal with this. For example, I can never get to my address using the GPS, it just won't happen. The closest I can get is within two blocks, and I believe this is true for most addresses . Whether it is due to mapping, or to file compression, I don't know. However, if you mark a place as a point of interest, it is very accurate. So, when I want to go home, I have marked that spot and it's never a problem getting here, even if there were no landmarks to use. However, when I get here if I check to see what address I'm at, it will not be correct. I believe that it is difficult to find a new location if you look up the address, but once you find it, you can always get back to that point with great accuracy.
