Yes!!! If I had an old one to send in I would do it in a second ! I would
love to have one just hate to pay almost 800 bucks for one!

Thanks,

Breeze+ talking GPS

A friend of mine is considering the $200 upgrade for his existing Trekker
unit. Is it worth it? That's subjective, of course, but do the new internals
offer significantly better performance, or is it only a moderate upgrade?
Are there any advantages other than possibly faster acquisition and less
drops?

It has been my experience it gets the satellites within a minute
where before it could take 10-15.

Also it no longer drops the connection. There were places in my area
I could depend on the breeze loosing its connection, This is no more.

I haven't noticed much difference except that the accuracy seems to be a

I think but can't prove that my Breeze doesn't acquire satellites about as
often as it did forcing me to do a reset probably every third or fourth
start-up.

All that said, when it works I consider it to be the best of the systems
I have used although Loadstone on my Nokia N73 was excellent once you jumped
through all the hoops to get maps installed.

I actually updated my Breeze to the latest hardware and the
acquisition time and fact that it doesn't drop as much as the old
receiver is quite nice.
