I have used a 4GB SD card with no problems. If you have access to this 8GB card, I would say just try it. The GPS software should be able to get map info from any readable media; that is, if a storage device is recognized by the mPower, the GPS should be able to read from it to get maps and pois just as the rest of KeySoft can. I hope it works out for you.
Have a great day, Alex

Earlene,I am not aware of a type II SD card. There is an type II Compact
Flash Card
that is available and is not supported on the Braillenote mPower.
You can
use the type I 8 GB card with out any problems on the BN mPower.
I have not ad any experience with the 8 GB SD card, but I have
been informed
that only support for up to 2 GB is supported by KS 7.2. I have
had input
that users have been able to use a 4 GB SD card without problems.
I hope that I understood your question correctly.

Hello all, I purchased an 8GB SanDisk Ultra II 60X SDCF Compact Flash Card instead of an 8GB type II compac flash card by mistake.
Does anyone know if the 8GB SD card will work with the
BrailleNote GPS, or,
does the GPS only work with type II compac flash cards? Thank you.I'm learning a lot about my GPS and I love it! I haven't had
this much fun
in years!
