Hi,
When my customer received his mPower in February 2006, it came with the
auto-switching power supply unit. The device has a detachable cord from the
unit, very similar to the one used by Pac mate. I hope someone from
HumanWare on this list can confirm that new mPower units now ship with the
newer auto-switchingpower supply unit, especially the ones that has a
detachable cord that goes from the wall outlet socket to the charging unit
of the mPower and PK units.

Unless it has changed recently, the BrailleNote charger was only 110 so
you will need a converter. Most new equipment these days comes with auto
switching supplies from 110 to 220. Like Cheng says, have someone read the
rating before plugging anything in.\
The PK supply is definitely auto switching. You will need a plug adapter
or you can purchase a separate power cord to go from the charger into the
wall. Some hotels will have plug adapters for multiple voltages and plug
types but you cannot count on this.

with the BrailleNote mPower, which got me wondering about international
travel with all types of the BrailleNote as well as the GPS rechargable
receivers. Mike and others who travel out of the country, where and how
do
you get the adapters for the difference in voltage between the U.S. and
other countries? Does Humanware sell them, or is there some other way of
getting them? Just curious.
