Awesome, that explains, but regardless, google maps did give me good
directions, I was also able to set my home as a current location but it is
also nice to have many choices. Keep up the good work!

To choose Google Maps, go to Settings, General and flick down until you hear
map type. The default is TomTom followed by OSM and then Google.

 

The POI selection remains the same with Foursquare and TomTom.
