[gps-talkusers] Seeking some Fairly Urgent Help to Use GPS 6.2 in Italy

I'm hoping for a miracle - or at least some wise advice from you.
I have the trial version of Sendero 6.2 in my new BrailleNote Apex. I don't
seem to be getting very far intuitively, and I've told a friend of mine I'd
assist her with navigating in Italy - we're travelling by car from Rome to
Assisi and Assisi to Sienna, then Sienna to Rome. Here's the thing. It's
next week, and I haven't yet even successfully created a route in my
hometown let alone Italy. I'm hoping someone can give me some kind of
Sendero for Dummies course. Does anyone know of any good audio or text
resources to follow up? Also, what are the best settings for vehicle travel?
I guess what I'd like to do is to be able to explore the routes in virtual
mode and then do it in reality later. That's probably it in a nutshell - oh
yes, maybe just add the slight complexity that O and M has never been my
strong suit. Apart from that, there's nothing in my way right? Well, maybe a
bit of volcanic ash.

Also, does anyone know any good lists or blogs re blindness and travel? Not
so much from a navigational perspective, but more along the lines of how to
make the most of the travel experience, safety and security issues etc?
