Hi Everyone, I called Sendero today to see about upgrading my 2010 version of SenseNav to the 2011 version. I was shocked to be told that instead of the $129 price for the upgrade it would cost $349.00 because the only way to upgrade is to buy a three year SMa. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this experience. I really just want the new maps but to get them you have to upgrade the software. I was more than willing to pay the normal upgrade price even though I think it is rather high. I'm not sure that I am willing to pay for a SMA of a product that may not even exist in three years. The price of the SMA is more than what a sighted person would pay for the hardware and lifetime map upgrades. I find this kind of price gouging very unethical and very offensive. I am hoping that this is a mistake and that we will be able to continue choosing whether or not we want to pay for one year of upgrades at a time or buy the SMA. As far as I know, no other company forces you to buy a SMA in order to upgrade. As a matter of fact most companies say you have to pay for the upgrade before you can buy the SMA. I do know of at least one other person who has been told the same thing. Both of us decided not to purchase the upgrade under these circumstances. Tommy
