Hi John,
Currently we have not yet put in place a way to take commercial POI updates from you, this is something we are planning on doing but I haven't developed a way to efficiently merge all of this data from multiple sources yet. User pois can be sent to Sendero and we will extract the "Public" pois from your user.pdb file and merge them in with the collective POIs. We will also try to streamline this as we move forward as well.

Thanks.
Charles.

Hi,
I haven't had a chance to read much of the new documentation yet, work keeps getting in the way. The question is when we rename or change a Poi either user or commercial, do we also continue to send it to Sendero for upload to everyone else?
thanks!
John

Hi Judi,

Yes I now see the problem.
You are right I am putting all user collective POIs into bonus and ignoring the old category you may have specified. We fixed this issue with the POI converter program you all have to convert your old 4.x user.poi into 5.0 but I wasn't using that same procedure when I converted the old collective user pois.

I will fix this problem early next week and regenerate all the user collective POIs. Once this has been fixed I will upload a new set of collective POI files for you all to download.

Oh and by the way the phone number and additional information you added to your POIs hasn't been lost it is all currently put into the description field. There is no way for me to parse this data out and put it into the correct fields. Moving forward if you would like to edit the collective POIs and fix these issues you can then send these changes back to Sendero.

Thanks
Charles
