Those MTK receivers are still in use and quite good. There are a couple receivers using both GPS and GNSS. They work with the iPhone but not as easily with the notetakers. The built-in GPS in the smartphones are decent if not as sensitive as thes most recent external models, which also sample at ten times a second. Wondering what the status of bluetooth receivers are these days. I have a few from a couple years ago, the iblue receiver, the qstarz, and the holux 1000. All of these use mtk chip sets, and you can get around 10 feet accuracy with those. How are the chip sets these days. Are there really even a lot of bluetooth receivers around anymore, with the built in receivers that are provided on cell phones, I would think there is not as much demand for those, but you never know.
