Taken directly from the GPS 2010 readme.
* Like the POI converter, users will need to convert all of the 4.x and below
routes into the 2010 route format. The route files end with a .rte extension
and they are XML files. Version 5.0 and 6.0 routes will work under 2010 with
no conversion necessary.
