Hi Kevin,
You were one of the people who helped me out originally when I
bought my Gps. I have followed your steps and my receiver has
not gone out as yet. Maybe it is your particular receiver.

Dear GPS listserv,
I have notice while using the Holux reciever that for some oddreason it
will lose the bluetooth connection between the BrailleNote andthe reciever,
this will occur when I am in the gps program, it isn't because itis out of
the bluetooth range, I have notice this occuring while eitherwhen I am
walking, so the reciever is fastened in the shoulder strap andthe
BrailleNote is about hip levvel. I am certtain that it isn't amatter of the
bluetooth being out of range.
I have also notice the same incident occuring when I am travelingin a
vehicle. When I am traveling in a vehicle, I will place thereciever on the
dash and have the BrailleNote on my lap in the front passengerseat. I would
say that in both incidents at all times the reciever is no morethan 3 feet
away from the brailleNote, so aI am certain that it isn't amatter of the
bluetooth being out of range, because if it was a matter of thebluetooth
being out of range, then I would of noticed the same thingoccuring with
the BlueLogger , which I have never seen happened.
I have also notice that when I am switching both the BrailleNoteand the
Holux off for aperiod of time, then turning it back on when Ineed to use
it, that sometimes the two devices will pair and activesync willbe active,
but when I go into the GPS Program it says "bluetooth recievernot
detected." Then after a while with switching the Holux off and onand
switching bluetooth off and on, it will suddenly come back andwill have a
fix. I have notice that this can take as long as 30 seconds to5 minutes,
which I find pretty excessive.
I will list the steps that I go through when turning off theBrailleNote and
the Holux, I have tried turning them off two different ways tosee if that
would make a difference, which I have not found to be true.5, 6, to
Technique 1.
1. While in the GPS Program, hit space bar with dots 1, 2, 3, 4,
get to the main menu.no.
2. hit the spacebar with the letter o to get to options menu
3. hit the letter c for connectivity
4. hit the letter b for bluetooth.
5. when it ask is bluetooth on, I will press the letter n for
6. Then I will turn off the Holux
8. Then I will return back to the main menu, and turn off the
BrailleNote
Technique 2.will say
1. While in the GPS Program, I will turn off the recievver, it
"bluetooth reciever not detected."bluetooth is
2. I will then return to the main menu
3. I will go to options, connectivity, bluetooth, I will see if
off, if it isn't I will turn it off.
4. Then I will return back to the main menu and turn off the
BrailleNote.
I will list the steps below that I use when turning on the twodevices,
again I tried two different ways to see if that would make adifference, it
turns out that it doesn't.to see if the
Technique 1.
1. Turn on the Holux
2. Turn on the BrailleNote
3. Go into options, connectivity, bluetooth, turn it on, check
Holux is paired and active. 4. I will then go into the GPS program
Technique 2.bluetooth,
1. Turn the BrailleNote on, then go into options, connectivity,
turn on bluetooth, then make sure it is paired and active. 2. turn on the Holux 3. Open the GPS Program.
I am not sure if the issue lies in the steps that I am goingthrough, which
I don't think it does; I don't think that it is the steps, because these are
the same steps that I went through using the BlueLogger and itworked just
fine. I just thought that I would list the steps just in casethere is one
that I should use over the other.
So, I am wondering if any of you have also experience thebluetooth reciever
not detected message showing up whihle you are in the GPSprogram, and not
being able to make the bluetooth connection work between theBrailleNote
after you have checked to see that they were indeed paired andactive. If
you have found a special technique that you have found to workflawlessly,
do share. If none of you have experience this same issue, thenit might be a
matter of me having a defected reciever, which I will phone my
dealer about.
Thank you for taking your time in reading this post, and I amlooking
forward to what you are able to suggest.
Kevin
