Yes, I turn my Blue logger on first also.  

A few seconds doesn't seem all that long, but if you get impatient to get going 
you can turn on the MPower and start gps very quickly without realizing it.  I 
can't begin to tell you just how many times I've done it.  

This wasn't an issue with the old serial receivers, but I'll take bluetooth and 
a few seconds wait any day.
