Alice,

Perhaps you put the individual state folders inside your map directory. That won't work.

You need to have the files themselves from each of the states you want in the folder. This is how the program will see them. You don't have to do anything else to make them open. Just put all the files in the folder together anmd make sure under options in the GPS that the map folder is pointed to that directory.

Hi, Kevin,
All of those states are included in the northeast and id-Atlantic regions. What I can't figure out how to do is open or download or whatever I have to do to those maps to make the gps able to see them. They're all there on the cf card, but how do I get them to be recognized? And how do I get multiple things to be recognized so that a route that covers multiple states can be followed?
Thanks.

Just FYI, you will need the following states to go from MA to VA:
Massachusetts
Connecticut
New York
New Jersey
Delaware
Maryland
Virginia
You will want to download all of these maps from www.gosendero.com and place
them in a folder and perhaps call this folder called MA_VA or something that
will let you know that these set of maps will get you from MA to VA. AN
important note is that you will want to place the files into this folder as
oppose to the unzipped folders.

You would need to combine the maps for the states you want to travel
through into one map folder.

Be aware that it is the POI files which require a lot of memory so if
you have lock up problems, limit the number of POI files you combine
into the map folder.
You will have more memory available on the mPower versus the PK. I
should think a route from MA to VA shouldnm't be a problem
