Thanks. Do you know how much it drains when it's off? I haven't used it in several days and it's been off so I was surprised it had no life of any kind left. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Grabowski" <chris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi,

The receiver takes about 4 hours to charge. and will last for 20 hours
or so.

Well, I just started out on a route with a dead receiver . I found that out
when I ran in a store for a minute to feel like I had at least gotten
something done and asked but I couldn't find in the manual how long it needs
to charge. I usually charge it overnight, but had hoped to maybe do that
othertrip later this afternoon

Ok the user pdb is there, but I have the feeling what happened was that we
had 2 user poi files in the folder and I am thinking the wrong file was
converted because the gps is not seeing any of my pois.
What I will do since I erased one of the user poi files, is redo this and
if
I still come up with nothing, I'll give you folks a call. How will that
be?

Hi,
The user.poi file gets converted into the user.pdb file.
If your user poi was in a folder called my poi then the user.pdb file
would be in that same folder.
If you point the converter directly to your maps folder on your
compact flash card, then the user.pdb file should be in the maps
folder on your compact flash card.
Hope this makes sense.

Ok! Now, do those user pdt things get put on the windows machine from the
pois in the user poi file? I didn't put any pois on the computer.
So I have no idea where to look for this.
Thanks.

Hi Mary Ellen,

Did you then copy the new files which got created from your windows
machine to your BrailleNote and put them in your maps folder?

for the POIs you will need to copy user.pdb from your windows machine to
/compact flash/maps
for the routes you will need to copy *.rte from your windows machine to anywhere you want all your routes to be recorded either flash disk, or a routes directory. You can put your routes under your maps folder if you wish as well its up to you as you are prompted where to load your routes
from inside the GPS program.

Hope this helps
Charles.

Hi!
Used the converter with no problem and my poi's aren't showing up. Could this be due to the fact that I didn't write in a directory? I am just a
bit confused as to what to put in that field so any help would be
appreciated.
I am going to take this out with me in a few minutes so will let you
folks
know how well this does.
Thanks.
