Hello Roger,
Not sure where you heard the next version of Sendero GPS was coming out soon as we are only in alpha an no where near Beta. I am also surprised you referenced it by the version number as I didn't realize that was public knowledge. I am also disappointed that you felt you had to post this kind of message to our users list. I am sorry you felt we were not listening to you. In fact having alpha/numeric addressing is a Priority 1 issue for us, but I have over 50 Priority 1 issues (all of which could take anywhere from 1 day to 3 months to fix). I also have added pressure from our SDK holders in other countries to fix their Priority 1 issues. I have major concerns in other countries that having address lookup with only the beginning of street names is totally useless for them because all their streets start with "Rue" or "Calle De La". How would you like to have to always type in when doing an address lookup "Calle De La" before the street you are looking for? Also these countries have the issue of alpha numeric addresses as well, this is not unique to Wisconsin. There is also the Priority 1 issue of UK Roundabouts and not being able to navigate those a well. So please be patient with us and if your particular Priority 1 issue isn't addressed in the next version then I am sorry and will try to address it in the following release as it requires a complete rewrite of the addressing module of our software (ie. a 3 month project (smile)).

Hi Sendero Group and Mike May,

I have been continuously badgered by my customers here in Wisconsin about the great defect in your GPS program since at least version 3.5 and has been brought to your attention and the technical support teams attention about not being able to enter addresses in the digit address field that have letters, dashes or other non numerical digits.

When will you correct this?

Not only in Wisconsin, have we had this lack of being able to look up addresses with letters or dashes in the digit addresses, but in New York, Hawaii and I am sure many many other states.

My customers are feeling strongly ripped off, especially when they live in one of Wisconsin's cities or near by communities that have these letters or dashes in the digit address field.

I understand version 5.0 will be coming out very soon with all new maps and such, your technical team have told me they are aware of this great error since version 4.0, but you need to personally address it to them before it can be fixed.

Please don't let another version be released without fixing this major defect in your program, otherwise offer the customers of your product in Wisconsin and other states who have experienced this great inconvenience a free upgrade until you correct it!

thank you.
regards,
Roger Behm
