De Witt & Associates has teamed with Sendero to produce a training package
called Teaching and Learning the Sendero GPS. In a few days we'll be
shipping our newest version, which is compatible with Sendero's Version 3.5.
Teaching and Learning the Sendero GPS can be used effectively by individuals
who want to teach themselves, parents who want to teach their children,
assistive technology trainers, and mobility instructors, who need consistent
training materials to help them teach their students.
Five lessons are geared to pedestrians, and the remaining six to vehicular
use. Each lesson contains realistic objectives, tips on preparing for the
lesson, lists of relevant keystrokes and key terms, a step-by-step lesson,
quizzes, exercises, and a report card to document your progress.
We cover the Look-Around features, setting addresses, route creation and
route following, both automatic and manual, finding points of interest, and
exploring in Virtual Mode. We even teach you to create a route while
traveling on a bus.
Individuals who wish to teach themselves, or parents who wish to teach a
child can purchase Teaching and Learning the Sendero GPS for $129.00 in
either print or Braille. A DAISY version will be available by this summer,
and will be sent to all of our Version 3.5 customers who request it at no
extra charge.
We offer a Trainer's Version to any person or organization who needs to
teach more than one student for $299.00. In this version, files are shipped
on a cd in both Word and BRF formats. Lists of keystrokes, key terms,
quizzes, and exercises reside in a "Student Materials" folder for easy
retrieval, embossing, or printing.

Hi, I am Andrea. I just purchased a gps for my empower, and signed on to
this list. I was wondering if there is any documentation that I might
benefit from. I read all of the documentation that was provided in the
packaging and still would like to get my hands on to some step by step help.
