Hello!
My name is Michael and I am a new subscriber to this list and still
fairly new to GPS systems for the Blind.
I have had the Braillenote GPS for a short time and have a few
questions.
If I remember correctly Space with dot 3 records a poi. How do you
recall a POI you have created when doing a route either on foot or in a
vehicle as space with F only seems to allow you to find POIS generally
and putting in a distance is no use if you are for example in town and
you want to get home.
I can set addresses for a journey for example if I was in town and I do
Space with S and type in my home address, it is trying to bring up a
point of interest for a bus stop for example.
Another question is is there a way of preventing unecessary information
when travelling a route?
Dad seems to think I might be getting too much info when I walk a route
ie stuff I might have passed and it seems to repeat the information
which might be behind me instead of concentrating on the route ahead.
The third question is if the Braillenote battery runs flat, will I lose
my GPS reciever when I have to reset and charge it?
I ask because when I look at the Bluetooth connections, my reciever is
not found.
The reason my battery went flat on my BN was because I went away for
about 3 days, well maybe 4 from Friday to Monday,. I had the Braillenote
fully charged and switched off but it was still flat when I came back as
I left it unplugged.
Hope someone can answer these questions.
