Glad you like the idea.
This sounds even better to have a 1 time a month event. For 1 hour of RTTY fun.
The ladder yearly table would be much more achievable that way and regular
participants who are going for gold wont need to worry about missing 1 or 2 of
the weekly events possibly.
Your experience and promotional skills would be excellent to making this be a
success

I think it is a good idea to have some activity without spending hours for
logchecking.
Just have some activity on a weekday evening and submit your unchecked score.
Exchange should be just 599 + serial. That is very easy.
May be not every week, but maybe 2nd Thursday every month or something like
this. So we would have 12 events. Hw?

summary on 3830. That was the idea here, but I understand also your position on

There is maybe some other option that can be discussed about score submission.
The idea behind a weekly contest, is to promote RTTY activity outside of
weekends. To encourage some new interest from guys who maybe want to get
involved in contesting but are maybe too afraid to get involved during a big
contest weekend.
Also an opportunity for more experienced contesters to try some new things,
like SO2R/SO2V, new antennas, techniques.
Of course most importantly is to promote our fabulous group.
I came with this type of proposal as I really enjoy the weekly contests In
which I participate, the Wednesday mini contest on 40/80 CW is very well
supported and lots of fun.
Would love to see something like this in RTTY.
Would love to hear some more input on this or some other suggestion.
I will be happy to sponsor plaques for the first year to get things going.

The idea is not bad , but i think that there will be some problems :
Who will check the logs?
This brings a lot of work.
Not all possibles operators use 3830 score , so how they can bring out the
scores?
As member , all of us , to bring more importance to the groupe IGRY , are them
practicly forced to stay and work all the parts , to do promotion for the
group.
It will be difficult to do this i think.
But a good idea , scott.
I think in this case , a better strategy will be , to organize something like a
2 or max3 parts contest ... this will be easier to organize.
This are only my 2 cents abt this.
But , very good to see some members have interest into the groupe.

participants will receive Electronic PDF Certificates.

1900-2000 UTC Every Thursday.

Categories
Single Operator HP/LP*/QRP**
*Low Power = 100W Max Output
**QRP = 5W Max Output
Exchange
RST + Serial number
Multipliers
Each different call worked is a multiplier on each band.
Logs are not necessary to be submitted. Just submit your score to 3830scores up
to 48 hours after to be included in the results.
Results will be published on the website after the deadline and up to date
yearly tables each week published.
