no, you don't need microphone ears - it's enough if you are a serious
listener of music...and especially when you use earphones, this
occasional sound resembling the initial handshake noise of dialup
connections is one 'signature' of these re-encoded files - and if you
have good bass in your speakers, and especially when the bitrate is
above 160 kbps, do try to listen to the two files in a interspersed
manner - there will be a certain lack of richness.
